Ace Models now market four 7mm scale M&GN locomotives and these include the diminutive 0-6-0 Tank, the Class ‘A’ 4-4-2 tank, the Da 0-6-0 goods engine and the Class C 4-4-0. These kits where appropriate including both locomotive and tender and   are able to be built in several variations suiting periods from the turn of the century to the very beginning of British Railways.  Artwork for the Class C with G7 boiler is presently being drawn-up whilst a Class D 0-6-0 goods engine is under consideration.

At the request of M&GN members the kits are traditional in concept and designed to a price.  They are also available in 4mm.  Each kit is scaled from full size drawings and consists of etched brass body frets and a nickel silver fret for frames, running components and stretchers. Fittings are a mixture of white metal and lost wax brass.  The kits are only available through ACE Products (aceproducts.org) who do not provide wheels, motor, solder, glue and paint but do provide basic assembly instructions and a list of where additional parts may be obtained. ACE also provide a kit building service.  A comprehensive construction hints and tips guide is also available for M&GN Circle members on the M&GN Circle web.  For those wanting to secure a kit, each is etched to order, a small deposit (£30) is required and this with enquires and any queries should be addressed to:
